I have created a space in my home for myself and fellow creatives to learn and create soulful art together. I want to share my skills and understandings with others and allow art to be a means for creativity, relaxation, self-expression & well-being. My little dogs Bartholomew & Miss Magoo sometimes join me in the studio and love to welcome visitors in the hope for a pat.
I have more than 20 years teaching experience across Early Childhood & Primary School settings with many of those years being as a specialist Visual Arts teacher.
It is my pleasure to foster in others an understanding and skills in art, encouraging them to see themselves as the artist they truly are. I love those moments when I see the pride and satisfaction on a child’s face & when they master a skill they didn’t know they had or that they have been working hard on developing. Bringing learning communities together through collaborative art projects and nurturing a sense of connectedness is also a passion of mine.
I actively pursue my own artmaking and creative endeavours and love being a life-long learner of the arts. Extensive Professional Development has equipped me with skills & understandings in:
